21st Century Summer Program

 

The 21st Century 2018 program will be held June 11, 2018 through July 27, 2018 (off the week of July 2-6) at Beaty/Warren Middle School.  The staff workday is 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m., however, there will be required attendance for field trips beyond the 8-12:30 p.m. day. Warren County School District reserves the right to cancel, combine and/or modify any 21st Century program pursuant to insufficient attendance or other unforeseen variables, which could result in termination of services.  Working hours are not guaranteed and may change based on student need and grant funding.

21st Century Summer Program INSTRUCTIONAL AIDES

(PARAEDUCATORS)

  The successful candidates will be required to meet the needs of the student with handicaps and/or certain disabilities. The job expectations are those made of special education aides and might include requirements to learn and deploy techniques required to restrain and assist students with toileting and personal hygiene needs, lift/assist with lifting per ADA compliance.  The successful candidates will also provide educational assistance in the learning process using technology, guided instruction, and drill and practice. Travel with children to other schools in the district or educational settings within a three (3) hour driving distance of the district may be required.  Experience in specific areas will be taken into consideration. Warren County School District 21st Century Summer Program MEDICAL ASSISTANT AIDES
  The successful candidate will assist in meeting the health needs of students according to district policies and school procedures under the guidance and direction of the School Nurse.  This position also entails performing related duties as assigned by the 21st Century Administrator which may include classroom aide duties.  An LPN license is required.  First Aid and CPR certificates required.  An Associate’s Degree in nursing from an accredited college/university or RN license is preferred.  Pediatric, community health nursing, health education, or school based nursing experience is preferred or any combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the work.  Travel with children to other schools in the district or educational settings within a three (3) hour driving distance of the district may be required.
