August 10th through the 16th of 2009 will see Warren County, Pennsylvania serving once again as the Canoeing Capital of the World!

On August 10 the Pennsylvania Association of Canoeing and Kayaking State Championship races will be run on the beautiful and challenging Allegheny River. Utilizing the same course as will be competed at the USCA National Marathon Championships to be competed just 4 days later, the State Championships will provide competitors from across the US the opportunity to compare their preparations and abilities to the best paddlers on the water today!

Warren County is thrilled to host, for the 4th time, the National Canoe and Kayak Championships from August 11th through the 16th. Each day offers different opportunities for paddling enthusiasts of all ages. A detailed daily schedule of events is being finalized and will be posted here shortly.

Plenty of non-paddling activities are being developed as well throughout "Nationals Week" so grab your boat and your family and come visit us in Warren County for the ultimate paddling vacation.
